Kyo's second chance in life

It was a brand new day but for Kyo's case it was another boring day in life. Kyo got out of bed and took a quick shower and got dressed.
He looked at the picture on his dresser for a moment before closing his eyes and turning around, heading out the door.

Kyo walked around the city with his head down avoiding eye contact from others, he made his way to the park and sat down on a bench.

Kyo looked at all of the people who were around him watching the kids play and the couples hold hands. He looked up at the sky, it was about to rain Kyo put on the hood of his jacket and just sat there.

It soon began to rain and Kyo was the only one left in the park, sitting on the bench before he was approached by a young boy holding an umbrella.

"Are you okay?" The boy asked. Kyo looked up at him and remained silent as he stood up and walked away. "Hey, wait!" The boy called out following him.

"Leave me alone..." Kyo said coldly the boy could tell that Kyo didn't want to be bothered he thought that something was probably bothering him, he may have just met Kyo but he wanted to see what was wrong.

"My name is Kai" the boy said "I don't care..." Kyo replied and began to walk faster Kai decided that now probably wasn't the right time to bother him but he's determined to make Kyo his new friend.

'I know I just met him but I'm not gonna stop until I become his friend' Kai thought to himself as Kyo walked away.

Kyo thinks he won't see Kai again but little does he know that Kai might be his second chance in life.
